Bengbu (pearl city) is one of china’s Eco city’s with urban scenic lakes the Huaihe River park, east Fengyang Mountain Forest Park and the Longxing Temple all popular tourist attractions.

Bengbu has a total population of 3.3 million, of which the urban area of 601.5 square kilometres has an urban population of 874,500 people.

The Huaihe River valley is located in Bengbu City. This region has four distinct seasons and a moderate climate.

Bengbu is well located for its waterways connecting Trinidad, Huaihe River, The navigable Four Seasons Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangxi provinces and overseas port access.

The train from Bengu connects directly to 20 domestic city’s, three municipalities, and more than 10 coastal cities, the state will be building the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway with a new railway station in Bengbu. Road connections are of a high standard with the Xuzhou expressway connecting Jieshou - Fuyang - Bengbu, Nanjing - Bengbu.

A modern airport is also located in Bengbu. 

Bengbu City is an important industrial city with many industries including machinery, textile, light industry, chemical industry (citric acid), medicine, electronics, building materials biochemical and chemical, glass and glass deep processing, auto parts, cigarette, die-casting machine, filters, corduroy, beer and cigarettes.

Bengbu City has many agricultural resources including grain, oil, vegetables, peanuts, pomegranate, meat and aquatic products.

Bengbu is one of the centers of the Yanhuai cuisine, one of the three noted cuisines of Anhui province. The dishes tend to be salty and slightly hot, with thick soups. One of the famous dishes is fuliji a braised chicken with 13 herbs and spices give it a rich aroma. The Huaiyuan, five river crabs has a reputation at both home and abroad.
