Bozhou situated in the north-western part of Anhui Province, is a ancient cultural city with a rich history exceeding 3,000 years.

Bozhou tourist attractions include the Opera Theatre (built during 1662 and 1722), Huazu Temple, the Graveyard of Cao Cao's family, and the underground troop course.

Bozhou is also amongst the four major producers of Chinese medicine.
