Heze is a prefecture-level city in southwestern Shandong province, People's Republic of China. The westernmost prefecture-level city in Shandong, it borders Jining to the east and the provinces of Henan and Anhui to the west and south respectively.
Heze lies in the North Temperate Zone, and has a monsoon continental climate. It has four clearly divided seasons, with abundant sunshine. Heze has Good transport facilities with the Jingjiu Railway and Xinshi Railway crossing here. There are 18 main roads extending all over China form Heze.
Heze city has rapidly developed into a beautiful picturesque place, characterized by its unique style of a flower and water city; it has become a splendid pearl in the southwest plain. The Heze Peony Show--This show offers tourists the opportunity to view millions of peonies. Heze County in Shandong Province, which boasts 67 hectares of peonies, becomes an attractive sightseeing site between late April and mid-May when it turns into an ocean of peony flowers.
