FIND CHINA introduces Jintan

Jintan is a county-level city within Changzhou in Jiangsu province of the People's Republic of China. Jintan is not far from Shanghai; it is approximately 4 hours away by highway bus. Jintan is a relatively important industrial city. It is known for its brown vinegar production. It is also a relatively clean industrial city.

Jintan is located in a transient belt from the northern subtropical zone to central subtropical zone, belonging to humid monsoon climate of northern subtropical zone with four clearly differentiated seasons, The climate of Jintan is featured as warm and humid with plenty of rainfall, and rich sunshine. Its annual average temperature is 16.4, average rainfall is 1066mm, and average humidity accounts for 78%, the sunshine reaches 2081 hours, and non-frost period lasts 242 days.

Jintan enjoys convenient traffic. Beijing-Shanghai Railway, Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, Changzhou Harbour, Changzhou Harbour, Zhenjiang Harbour, Changzhou Airport are all near the north of the city, being within 50 kilometres far away. It is two hours and a half, one and a half driving distance from Shanghai Port and Zhang Jianggang Port respectively. It is 60 kilometres away from Nanjing Lukou International Airport and 250 kilometres away from Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The Nanjing-Changzhou Expressway and Yanzhou-Liyang Expressway go through Jintan city in the direction of east west and south-north respectively, connecting Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, Yangtze Riverside Expressway and Nanjing-Hangzhou Expressway, making the driving distance from Shanghai to Jintan being two hours, one hour and a half distance from Hangzhou and only one hour distance from Nanjing. The water transportation system comprised of Danyang-Jintan Canal and Tongji River joins the Yangtze River and Taihu Lake, available for 500-1000 tonnage cargo vessels.
